COVID-19 Safety Policy
Guests ages 5 and older who are attending a public performance at MCG Jazz must be fully vaccinated and must show proof of vaccination with their valid ticket at the time of entry. Fully vaccinated means that on the date of the performance you would have received your second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine at least 14 days prior. Proof of vaccination must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination. Guests may display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy.
For guests who are not vaccinated, they must provide one of the following instead of evidence of vaccination:
Negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 24 hours of the performance start time, or negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time. Proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the test.
Together with the proof of vaccination, all guests 18 years or older must also present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Guests younger than 18 may use a government-issued photo ID or school photo ID. Guests under 5 must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test and be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.
Entry will be denied for guests who do not provide the documentation as required above.
Based on new CDC metrics for determining the Community Level of COVID-19 transmission, and given Allegheny County's "medium" rating, masks are currently optional for MCG Jazz events. Masks will only be required when Allegheny County is in the "high" COVID-19 Community Level.
MCG Jazz and Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild remain a mask-friendly facility. We understand that many in our community will choose to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. Click here for the most up-to-date information on these policies.
For the 2021-2022 concert season, as a benefit to subscribing, if you are – for any reason – uncomfortable coming to the MCG Jazz Music Hall for the in-person concert, you can exchange your tickets for a private link to watch the live performance from the comfort of home, offering you a safe alternative for engagement.
