As we emerge from more than a year of the COVID-19 pandemic, our focus is to create and ensure an environment that puts the health of artists, staff, and audiences first. In partnership with “Restart The Arts” and in congress with our fellow live arts organizations around the Greater Pittsburgh region, MCG Jazz is committed to safety practices that are based on science, informed by government guidelines, and tested against industry standards are followed. As we have experience, guidelines and recommendations change quickly and often, we will strive to have honest and frequent communication about the steps we are taking and practices we are following with a clear and transparent message on what to expect when visiting our venue.  We pledge to be open to modifications and adjustments to our processes based on the ever-evolving research and practices related to dealing with this ongoing health crisis. We will practice customer service of the highest standard.

  • For the 2021-2022 concert season, as a benefit to subscribing, if you are – for any reason – uncomfortable coming to the MCG music hall for the in-person concert, you can exchange your tickets for a private link to watch the live performance from the comfort of home; offering you a safe alternative for engagement.

  • We need your support in meeting all of our commitments. We ask that patrons who are not feeling well? Please stay home.

  • In accordance with the CDC’s and the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s current guidance, fully vaccinated staff, visitors, and students are no longer required to wear masks to gain entrance into the facility.  Individuals who are not fully vaccinated must continue to use appropriate masks and face coverings in accordance with existing guidelines.

  • Come to have a good time—but come with patience and understanding.

  • Respect our staff and respect your fellow patrons. We are in this together.

  • We must all subscribe to Safety Over Convenience.

  • As MCG Jazz adopts a low touch environment when visiting the music hall, information about upcoming events, concert program books, playlists and videos have all moved online. Look for the MCG Jazz QR code to provide you with everything from scheduling a call to concert information and streaming programming.
