Roger Humphries Presents a Jazz Celebration for Bill Strickland
In Partnership with City Winery Pittsburgh
Saturday, August 8, 2026 | 12:00 PM
City Winery Pittsburgh
This tribute brings together jazz excellence, community, and celebration for a truly special afternoon of music. A legendary drummer, bandleader, and educator, Roger Humphries has spent more than six decades shaping the sound of jazz, performing alongside icons such as Ray Charles and Stanley Turrentine while inspiring generations of musicians through his artistry and mentorship.
Backed by an all-star ensemble, Humphries will perform a selection of music inspired by some of Bill’s favorite artists, including Ahmad Jamal, Ray Brown, and Cal Tjader. Join us for an afternoon of soul, swing, and remembrance as we celebrate a remarkable friendship and a legacy that continues to inspire.
À la carte brunch is not included in the ticket price and is a separate charge.
Please note, all tickets for this event are through City Winery Pittsburgh, they can be contacted at (412) 246-1000 or in person at 1627 Smallman St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
